Al-Bahir (ISSN: 2312-5721 E-ISSN: 2313-0083) was founded in 2014, and it is a free quarterly refereed scientific journal issued by Holy Al-Abbas Shrine (Al-ʿatabaẗ al-ʿabbāsiyyaẗ al-muqaddasaẗ). The first issue was in 2015, in two languages, Arabic and English. In 2022, the University of Alkafeel became a co-publisher alongside the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, and the journal transitioned to publishing articles exclusively in English. Since Al-Bahir journal focuses on research and studies in engineering and pure sciences , and their applications, provided that its papers adhere to the principles of scientific research. This includes following established methods for writing scientific material and the steps necessary for conducting research, as well as subjecting this research to review by qualified reviewers with a solid scientific background in their respective fields. The journal complies with the standards of refereed scientific journals as recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Republic of Iraq.
